The International Coordinating Council of Unesco, which met in Paris from 27 to 30 May, has added 12 sites to the World Network of Biosphere Reserves. Among them, two french sites were distinguished : the territory of the Mont Viso, on the italian border, and the Audomarois Swamp which includes the city of art and history of Saint Omer and its wetland.
